The Royal Corgi Jewelry Box with Necklace is based on the Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs owned by Elizabeth II and her parents. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. The Queen has always been fond of corgis and has owned over 30 corgis. In 1952 she became Queen of the commonwealth. Because of her love of Corgi’s and devotion to animals she has owned them ever since.
In 2007 the Queen had five Corgi’s which the Royal Corgi Jewelry box with necklace is based on. And they where named Monty, Emma, Linnet, Willow, and Holly. She also had five cocker spaniels. And they where called Bisto, Oxo, Flash, Spick, and Span; and four dachshund-corgi crossbreeds, Cider, Berry, Vulcan, and Candy.
