The Elmwood Inn has stood at the center of the small central Kentucky village of Perryville for over 160 years. For 14 years, tea lovers from around the globe found their way to Elmwood to experience one of America’s most-celebrated afternoon teas. It was the first North American tea room named to the prestigious British Guild of Tea Rooms.
This collection of 12 menus and 100 recipes is the first of three cookbooks cataloging the creative cuisine developed by owners Shelley and Bruce Richardson. There is a menu for every month of the year. Each is accompanied by recipes and photographs. Since its first release in 1994, this book has inspired countless tea room owners and tea hosts across the country to create their own afternoon tea celebrations.
