Product Description

The unique combination of soft blue, brown, and white makes this one-of-a-kind handblown glass vase by artist, Essie Zareh very versatile. The colors and are fused together during the blowing process.  Each color represents one layer of glass and there is no painting.

Because each vase is an original creation, we choose to show the exact one you will receive. 

His vases either have his name impressed into the base of the vase or a seal of authenticity. We include Zareh's biography with each vase.

Baijan glass is from Azerbaijan, Southwest of Russia. The art of hand blown glass making is an old tradition which goes back about 3000 years when the Persian Empire ruled the region. In the late 18th century Azerbaijan fell under the Russian rule and finally in 1989 got its independence and became The Republic of Azerbaijan. The tradition of glass making has not been changed since the 18th century and they are still made in the style of those days in brick ovens with black oil.
